Welcome to Streetprint Manila

Streetprint Manila is a research project that is part of a larger research endeavour called “Six Continents and Between”. Initiated by Prof. Gary Kelly of the University of Alberta, 6CAB seeks to investigate popular print culture across various geographical, sociocultural, and ethnolinguistic contexts. More specifically, it aims to look at reading patterns and preferences of the Filipino Everyman, or those whom we would largely consider members of the “masa” class.

Notes: The story centers on Bree, a rich heiress who comes from an influential family. She is surprised that the intelligent and handsome but very down-to-earth Gavin, an account executive, would show interest in her. After a whirlwind romance, Bree and Gavin get married, and only then does Bree discover the real reason why Gavin wanted to marry her in the first place. The novel is part of a series of translations done by Precious Pages Corporation of Mills & Boon paperbacks, a line of popular romance novels that originated from the United Kingdom.
